About us

We believe that a ……
is a more interesting world.

Who we are

Acaedf is a leading non-for profit/non-governmental organization working to promote and protect the rights and well-being of children (and young persons) across africa.

Since 2014, African Children’s Aid Education and Development Foundation (ACAEDF) have been mobilizing people and resources to advocate, protect, proactively provide interventions especially against child witch branding and other forms of abuses.Over the years, we rescue and shelter homeless children accused of witchcraft, provide quality education both to sheltered children and those on Home Support Programme. We have, to date successfully rescued and transformed over 200 homeless children through education and awareness programmes.

While some of our beneficiaries have been reunified/reintegrated into the society (with some still drawing support from ACAEDF), others – 72 are directly under our care. They are accommodated in our facility (Land of Hope –a well-constructed purpose-built children care center that is equipped with hospital, skill/vocational training center, Library, children’s parliament, sporting/recreational facilities, etc).

We aspire for a society free of child witch branding and all forms of child abuse.

Acaedf is a child’s rights organization that aims to play a leading role in giving the african child a voice whilst upholding the highest standard of child protection through rescue, education, shelter and advocacy

Our vision is to become the number one child’s rights defender in africa

Child protection and safety

We are guided by the United Nations Convention on the rights of the child and work in respect of its underlying principles

Transparency and accountability

ACAEDF is transparent

We believe that children’s rights and wellbeing can be enhanced if there is synergy between ACAEDF and other organizations working to improve the welfare and wellbeing of children. Also, the children’s voices could be louder as we align with them especially on their wellbeing.
