The Danish Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr Sune Krogstrup on a tour of project sites used for the School Farm for School Meal (SF4SM) project.
The SF4SM operates on a sustainable model whereby fallow plots of land lying unused across these schools are cultivated and the produce harvested is used to make rich meals for the children.
Pupils were fed once every school day with a rich variety of meals. These meals contained fish, cucumber, corn, etc.
Different segments of the land were marked out for fish ponds, crop farms and green houses.

To ensure the successful implementation of the project and reduces operational cost, collaboration and partnership between indigene farmers was necessary.
The project provided a platform for local farmers to be trained and educated on new crop varieties and fingerling species.
